Winkelglück thinks beyond the holiday apartments. We want to connect guests with what makes Hirschberg and the region special: from local businesses and associations to nature and culture. Here you will find planned collaborations and selected offers for culture, leisure, nature and e-mobility.
01 · Local community
These potential action partners and participation offers connect guests with people who care for paths, nature and shared local places. The opportunities are researched; a Winkelglück collaboration is only published after direct agreement.
Potential action partners
The listed open-air pool is both a summer destination and a shared local responsibility. Guests can support its preservation through the official donation appeal; joint activities or guest days will only be announced after an agreement.
Planting, landscape care or helping at events makes conservation tangible for a day. Winkelglück can share suitable dates once the task, group size, safety and responsibilities have been agreed with the nature park.
The local group marks and maintains three circular walks around Hirschberg. This could become a close-to-home participation format, such as an agreed trail-care date or guided walk. Collaboration still needs to be requested.
Volunteer work in Natura 2000 areas combines expert guidance with a direct view of the cultural landscape. Only confirmed dates with clear registration and safety information are suitable for guests.
Proposal · not yet adopted
The proposal is a Winkelglück action fund: €1 per completed booking, financed by the operation without a mandatory guest surcharge. Funds would go annually to agreed non-profit initiatives—for example preserving Hirschberg's open-air pool or a confirmed landscape-care activity.
Thuringian Slate Mountains/Upper Saale Nature Park
Winkelglück does not treat the nature park as decoration. Official offers, responsible paths and regional cycles should become a traceable part of every stay.
Hirschberg lies within the nature park. Winkelglück is not currently a certified Nature Park Partner. The partnership process is therefore shown as work in progress, not as an award.

Nature Park Partners are assessed and certified by the nature-park administration. The focus is on tangible contributions to the cultural landscape, sustainable use of resources, good visitor information and active participation in the network.

Furnishing, culture, landscape, mobility, leisure, and food & local produce remain useful themes. An LOI candidate, a public charging point and a destination intentionally carry different statuses.
01 · Time by the water & in town
Swimming, relaxation and seasonal offers complement the routes. Opening hours and seasonal status are checked again before visiting.
The listed open-air pool with swimming, non-swimming and children's areas is a nearby summer destination. Season and opening remain subject to a current check.
The beach at the Thuringian Sea adds swimming, SUP, kayaking and pedal boats to the Bad Lobenstein/Saalburg route. Season, events and access are checked in advance.
The riverside gondola station can be linked with the Hag, suspension walkway and town paths. Current openings and events come from the town.
Thermal bathing, sauna and the local slate theme add a weatherproof alternative to the spa-town route. No collaboration has been requested.
02 · Eat & buy local
This subject area keeps restaurants, farm shops and local producers distinct from leisure and furnishing. Its partner pool is still being reviewed.
Restaurants, farm shops and local produce will later be selected by opening, quality, season and route relevance. No business is currently published as a partner.
03 · Stories & dates
Museums, venues and places of memory link directly to the stories and paths in which they appear.
The museum carries the town's leather and urban history. Editorial links are possible; a partnership has not yet been confirmed.
The first purpose-built cultural centre in the GDR connects architectural, industrial and event history. Dates are sourced from the town.
This place of memory carries the signature story from restricted zone to open space. Opening, access and event information come from the museum's official source.
04 · Nature & paths
Expert sources and potential collaborations support visitor guidance, nature rules and route checks.
The nature park is the central expert source for landscape, its visitor map and the partnership process. Winkelglück is not currently certified.
The Green Belt is a landscape and place of memory, not an automatically confirmed project partner. Routes refer to verified expert sources.
05 · Arrive & continue
E-bike service, public e-bike charging and public EV charging are presented as one connected layer of travel information.
Hirschberg, Rosenthal am Rennsteig, Saalburg, Burgk and other places are documented in the regional e-bike network. This is travel information, not a partner claim.
Public charging points are connected through the Federal Network Agency's official map. Planned charging at the house remains exclusively for overnight guests.
06 · In the house
Manufacturers and makers are connected to the object in the house, a matching route and—once approved—their website, shop and factory outlet.
The workshop is planned as a furnishing source, shopping destination and stop on the Bürgel route. An LOI has been requested but is not yet documented.
Cookware, recoating and the factory outlet connect furnishing, repairability and a car route in a traceable way.
04 · Documented contributions
Only organisations with a documented LOI or a later comparable agreement appear here. Visibility cannot be bought and is not a certification. Services, approvals and open points remain visible on each card.
Porcelain used in the house that carries the region's story further. Vocatio connects the table with the manufactory, factory outlet and a visit to Reichenbach. The LOI dated 25 August 2026 documents this role; links and logo still require separate approval.
Four e-bikes turn the house into a starting point. BikeHouse Plauen supports final assembly, delivery, handover, instruction and regional workshop service—so mobility does not end with the loan. The LOI dated 26 August 2026 and the backlink are documented.
